The New North

I’m working with Cōnfingō Publishing on a new book called Brutalist Ghost Stories, an anthology of short, uncanny fiction in which each story takes a different Brutalist landmark in the UK as its setting and/or inspiration. 13 stories have been commissioned from professional authors, but three more will be commissioned from three emerging writers, one from each of the following areas:​

Blackpool
Middlesbrough
Rochdale​

We’re looking for three writers from these areas in the early stages of their careers and who would benefit from being involved in the project. I’ll be working with them to provide dedicated mentoring and editorial guidance tailored to their needs and abilities. The writers will also be paid for their work and their travel to the launch event.
