Bus Station Unbound is an interactive novel I wrote with Jenn Ashworth and which was originally published online in 2015.
It is set in and around Preston Bus Station - the story allows readers to navigate a web of interconnected stories, exploring one of Britain's most iconic Brutalist buildings, with each choice opening up new routes through the station and the lives that pass through it. This is an enormous and sprawling piece of writing with a large number of details which shift with each reading, some at random, some based on seemingly minor decisions you make along the way, making each trip to the bus station unique.
Following the closure of the platform on which it was originally published, Bus Station Unbound was thought lost for a number of years. After much work, it was recovered in 2026.
